(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh City officials met with an Iranian delegation of 20 businessmen, who are on a 5-day trade mission to Vietnam to seek ways to improve business relations.
In Friday’s reception for Gholamhossein Shafei, President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh city’s People’s Committee pledged favorable conditions for foreign investors, including those from Iran. He said Ho Chi Minh city wants to boost trade and investment activities with Iran to develop the friendship between the two countries.

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, and CFA Volunteer Community Vietnam, has announced that Ho Chi Minh City Foreign Trade University has won the local competition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge in Vietnam and now advances to the Asia Pacific Regional Final where it will compete against universities from the region. So far, around 48 joint stock companies have listed on the board of the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre (HSTC) with a combined value of VND45,000 billion. The centre has successfully organised more than 120 transactions with a trade volume of 3.5 million securities worth more than VND 270 billion for each transaction.
