Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 features 600 pavilions by enterprises from 31 provinces and cities from around the country as well as over 20 countries and territories from around the world.
The expo is considered as the largest trade promotion event in the field of agriculture, fishery and food industry in Vietnam.
The event has attracted the participation of numerous Vietnamese enterprises, with national trademark winning products such as Quang Ngai sugar, Tigifood, Satra, Vissan, Lafooco, Bibica candy and Nam Phuong fish sauce.
In addition, a purchase area has been arranged for the three big supermarket chains: Hapro Mart, Lotte Mart and Big C, aiming to support enterprises that want to distribute agricultural products and food to the wholesale and retail supermarket system.
At this year’s expo, France has been chosen as an honouring country. More than 30 leading French enterprises from France, in the field of food production and processing, are focusing on introducing vegetables, cold meats and milk.
Director of the Trade Promotion Agency Bui Huy Son said that Vietnam Foodexpo offers a good opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to promote their image, agricultural products and food.
Furthermore, the event aims to enhance the trade links and investment cooperation between Vietnam and other countries, as well as to improve the position of Vietnamese agricultural products and food in the international market.
Representatives from the French Enterprises’ Association also emphasised that the expo is expected to stimulate the potential for the export of agricultural products and tropical fruits of Vietnam to the French market in particular and Europe in general in the near future.
A wide variety of seminars and trade promotion programmes will be held during the three-day expo.
