Feltman discussed UN assistance and operations in North Korea along with “other matters of mutual concern,” North Korean media said. Feltman arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday for a four-day visit. The talks follow North Korea’s latest test of the Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles which it says is capable of attacking all targets in the US. Mr. Feltman’s visit is expected to create momentum for UN-led efforts to reduce tension on the Korean peninsula.

Ri Yong Ho, 59, replaces Ri Su Yong, who has been one of the highest-profile officials of a country whose current leader, Kim Jong Un, has not traveled abroad since taking power following the death of his father in 2011.
